I work with women across the lifespan with a primary focus in those who are trying to conceive, pregnant, adjusting to motherhood, as well as women navigating being a part of the "sandwich" generation. With over 14 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship issues. I value being a lifelong learner in this profession and have advanced training as a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider and in Exposure Response Prevention for OCD in adults.
As a seasoned clinician with several years of experience, I have learned that a "one-size fits all" approach doesn't work. I have a strong foundation in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which allows me to meet clients where they are at and integrate other modalities such as Exposure Response Prevention and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Over the course of my career I have been energized by watching clients uncover and live into their values, even when it feels difficult. I have been honored to create a safe, collaborative space for clients to learn more about themselves. My goal is to support you in living a rich and meaningful life - however YOU define it!

The transition back to work can be such a challenging time, logistically, emotionally, and relationally. For a lot of moms in this transitional phase, mom guilt can show up BIG TIME. Throughout this 6-week group for moms returning to work, we’ll explore and process topics such as shifting identity and values, division of responsibilities at home, self-care, and communicating boundaries and needs. This virtual group is open to moms in NC, VA, and SC and will meet on Saturday mornings from 9-10:30 am starting August 3, 2024. Email megan@megandavispsychotherapy to indicate your interest!
