I believe therapy provides the listening, understanding, validation, and empowerment everyone can benefit from to navigate life's obstacles. I have experience working with adults and couples from a variety of backgrounds. Many of my clients attend therapy to work through relationship issues, anxiety, academic and career concerns, depression, struggles with identity, and life transitions. I also offer psychological testing services for adults (19+), specializing in ADHD evaluations and gender identity/transgender assessment services.
I work from strengths-based and client-centered perspectives, meaning my clients choose the topics discussed in each session, then we collaborate to identify their strengths and the best ways to enact their values and take steps towards the meaning and fulfillment they want in their lives.
With individual clients, I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on helping clients relate to their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in ways that better able them to behave in ways that align with how they wish to live. With couples, I use the Gottman Method and integrate some Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) as well.
