I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 30 years of professional experience providing psychotherapy services. I speak English and Spanish. I provide my clients with a unique approach to helping them identify and achieve specific therapy goals in a confidential, empathetic, and trusting atmosphere. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, panic attacks and phobias, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and behavioral issues. I have a special experience with midlife and empty nest transitions, career and work issues, aging, loss, divorce, and cultural adjustments.
I use an Insight approach, where I help, a better understanding of my patients that leads to “individualized solutions”. My treatment approach is short-term, problem-oriented therapy sustained by my psychoanalytic background.
I have had the honor to serve a diversity of individuals and their families in a variety of settings, such as community mental health, crisis helplines, and outpatient programs (in a hospital setting).
