Having been a psychologist in practice for many years, I have developed a professional interest in assisting individuals with complete and thorough psychological testing and evaluations. Such evaluations are focused upon learning disabilities and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders

I am a pediatric neuropsychologist with extensive experience in providing culturally sensitive and trauma informed developmental and neuropsychological evaluations to children and adolescents with a wide range of concerns, including neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, learning disorder), acquired brain injuries, and emotional and behavioral challenges (e.g., mood and impulse control disorders).

At Hive, we welcome every child, whether neurodiverse or not, and provide personalized assessments and tailored recommendations. We can assess for neurodevelopmental disorders (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Developmental Disorder), but also investigate associated mental and behavioral health conditions (Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, and Behavioral Disorders). I specialize in diagnostic, psychological assessment. Psychological assessment is a unique skill which can help clarify symptoms, inform treatment, and help access necessary supportive services. My approach to psychological assessment is both collaborative and person-centered, meaning that I consider your background, your experiences, and other sources of information to best understand your symptoms holistically. I have been trained in psychological assessment with adults and adolescents. I can conduct assessment to consider for ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorders, Personality Disorders, and various clinical symptoms.

Since 2000, O'Brien Psychological Services has provided psychological evaluations. He currently has two locations (Indianapolis and Kokomo). Dr. O'Brien is particularly interested in psychological evaluations and consultation but, from time to time, he will accept clients for psychotherapy services. His assessment clients have included, but are not limited to, the following: psychiatric hospitals, bariatric surgery patients, international adoption clients, juvenile courts, medical practices, autism treatment centers, other mental health professionals, and various state and federal agencies. I am also very honored and humbled by the many professionals in the field of human services who could have gone anywhere for psychological services but who trusted me to provide assessments and consulting services for their own family members.

At present, I work primarily with individuals aged 14 to 30. I have a passion for working with adolescents and young adults. I believe that intervening with young individuals can help provide them the tools to navigate the struggles of life long after their therapy has ended. I enjoy working with individuals who are looking to explore and gain a better understanding of themselves while navigating symptoms related to mental health struggles. I have a unique gift for connecting with individuals with various difficulties and those who identify as neurodivergent and providing them with a safe space in which to explore and grow.

I provide individual psychotherapy and psychological testing or psychological evaluation. Common reasons for testing referral include evaluation of conditions such as AD/HD; learning disabilities; or other cognitive, academic, emotional, or behavioral concerns as well as clarification of psychiatric diagnosis or diagnoses. At the conclusion of the evaluation process, I provide written and verbal feedback to the person or agency requesting the evaluation regarding test results, diagnoses, and individualized treatment recommendations based on evaluation findings as well as each person's unique strengths and needs.

Dr. Susie Galford offers assessment and therapeutic mental health services for children, teens, and young adults. She is a licensed psychologist (HSPP), nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP), and licensed teacher (grades K-6) in Indiana. Dr. Galford has specialized training in the evaluation of Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual and executive functioning, developmental challenges, anxiety, depression, and behavioral difficulties. Her clinical work is grounded in evidence-based research and employs a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach to assessment and therapy.

Hello, my focus is psychological testing, in particular for autism, ADHD, intellectual functioning, learning disorders, and personality disorders. I offer in-person and virtual testing based on the presenting concern, and I offer flexible hours to accommodate your needs. I currently have a waitlist for individual therapy for ages 18 and up.

My specialty for the past 46 years has been children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and neurological issues. Due to my experience I'm able to use multiple approaches and modalities that I formulate to the specific issue presented to me by my clients.
