I truly believe we as humans can rise up from anything. It's extremely easy to get stuck on a feeling and harbor thoughts that our problems will never go away or believe we are not strong enough to persevere or overcome the issues that steal away our desire for true happiness. Part of my job is to be a guide, to assist you in discovering the power you possess and help you in overcoming the issues that brought you to therapy. I always applaud those willing to seek therapy because it’s a sign of strength as it’s not easy to ask for help. I work with individuals seeking assistance to overcome SUD, anger, anxiety, depression, grief.
My mission is to assist clients in their journey by teaching coping skills, learning effective ways to manage their emotions, education about healthy boundaries and challenging negative beliefs/thoughts. I take a Person-Centered approach by utilizing CBT, ACT, SFBT interventions to help clients overcome their obstacles to self-fulfillment.
Building rapport is important in my practice, because clients need to feel they are in a safe space with a trusted therapist who understands their struggles and is eager to assist in alleviating their issues.
