I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern who specializes in working with adults, couples, and teens. I currently serve as an active-duty Army officer, with over 14 years of federal service. I began my social work journey working with adults and adolescents who suffered from substance abuse. When my military career would allow, I provided counseling services to Soldiers suffering trauma disorders related to abuse and combat service. During my graduate program, I worked with families of babies admitted in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
I believe in using strength-based cognitive behavior therapy, emotion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, and other person-centered therapy techniques to promote happiness, resilience, and stronger relationships. I am naturally driven to provide quality treatment from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive lens to each client I encounter.
