I am a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric and Mental Health with 18 years experience providing individuals with care and treatment of acute and chronic mental health issues through Psychopharmacology and brief, supportive therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient settings, community mental health clinics , telemedicine and as a psychiatric consultant in long term care. This makes me uniquely qualified to partner with individual adults ages 18 to 85 with medical issues impacting their mental health and well-being.
It is important to view my client’s from a holistic viewpoint and consider how various aspects of a person’s life might contribute to a mental health issue, impair functioning or maintain a disorder. I will offer an initial evaluation to look at the biological, social and psychological factors that may be influencing your well-being, a diagnosis and plan.
Through follow-up visits, we will continue to develop our therapeutic relationship through open communication and mutual respect. We will monitor your progress towards your treatment goals and manage psychoactive medications. My practice is wholly telemedicine through a user friendly, HIPPA secure platform.
