I am an Integrative psychotherapist who is accredited to work with children/adolescents and adults. I work with varied presenting issues with expertise in addiction, grief bereavement and loss, anxiety with children/adolescents and adults. My work has included varied addiction treatment centres, prisons and community projects focused on mental health. I have worked in a community setting with children and adolescents and families with varied presenting issues. I currently consult for a large multi national company in related to their employee assistance programme and overall wellness structure.
I work integrative and creative which can include sand play therapy, art therapy and music therapy but not limited to such. Sometimes it can be difficult to put words on past traumatic experiences and this is when working creatively can be beneficial. I can also integrate feedback informed treatment to benefit therapy outcomes.
The relationship in therapy is in my opinion the key factor in bringing about change. My way of being includes a clear focus on building the therapeutic relationship and consistently eliciting feedback around the counselling process.
