Maine’s supreme court orders judge to reconsider man’s petition for a new trial in 2010 killing
A judge ruled against 64-year-old Ernest Weidul's petition for post-conviction review in 2022, but the Maine Supreme Judicial Court ruled Tuesday that the judge didn't observe all of Weidul's evidence in person and therefore he didn't have a fair hearing.
