Biden vs. Trump is yet another case of Coke vs. Pepsi. Coke, who should have known better, made the classic mistake of changing their formula over fear that Pepsi might overtake them in sales. Marketing classes use it as a case of what not to do.

President Biden must ignore the loud noises coming from the opposition and focus on his strong record of actually achieving the things his opponent promised but never achieved, like getting us out of Afghanistan, passing the infrastructure bill, creating jobs and ending the pandemic. His golden-tongued opponent’s only true ability is spouting lies that he repeats with such certainty that even reasonable people get sucked in.

But we the people are not stupid. We know the difference between empty promises and actual results. President Biden needs to believe that and, more important, believe in himself as the preferred choice that he is.
