Ivy Armentrout, Kennebunk senior attack: Armentrout completed her standout career with 181 points. This spring, she tallied 44 goals and 19 assists to earn All-America honors. She also had 26 draw controls, 12 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. The Rams went 64-2 over her four-year career. She’ll play at Trinity College next season.

 

 

Reese Belanger, Cheverus, senior midfielder: Belanger scored 57 goals to go with nine assists, leading Cheverus to a 10-win season. She also collected 47 ground balls, had 74 draw control wins and forced 12 turnovers. The Stags’ offensive catalyst the last two seasons, she plans to continue her lacrosse career at Florida Tech.

 

 

Abby Bouffard, Biddeford junior midfielder: Bouffard was a huge offensive threat for the Tigers, scoring 89 goals this season and adding 10 assists, to account for 60% of Biddeford’s scoring. Bouffard broke six school records this season, helping the Tigers advance to the Class B quarterfinals. She added 52 ground balls and 79 draw controls. Bouffard has already committed to playing at Southern New Hampshire University.

 

 

Riley Davis, Falmouth freshman midfielder: Davis emerged as one of the top players in the state in her debut season. She scored 59 goals to help the Navigators reach the Class A championship game. She also had nine assists, 58 ground balls and 148 draw controls, and forced 46 turnovers. Davis plans to transfer to Holderness School in Plymouth, New Hampshire.

 

 

Lana DiRusso, Freeport junior attack: DiRusso scored 65 goals and added 23 assists, and her play helped the Falcons never lose a step as they jumped from Class C, where they won the 2023 state title, to Class B, where they were runner-up this season. DiRusso also had 71 draw controls, 37 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers. She is undecided on her college plans but hopes to play lacrosse at the next level.

 

 

Tilsley Kelly, Waynflete senior attack: Kelly was a key player in the Flyers’ run to the Class C championship, scoring 51 goals to go with 26 assists. Kelly was at her best in the biggest game of the season, producing eight goals and three assists in Waynflete’s 14-7 win over Wells in the state final. Kelly will attend Middlebury College in the fall.

 

 

Asja Kelman, Greely senior midfielder: Kelman scored 49 goals and added 29 assists to help lead the Rangers to their third straight Class B championship. Kelman also won 91 draw controls while grabbing 45 ground balls and causing 36 turnovers. She shot with a 65% accuracy rate. Kelman plans to attend the University of New Hampshire.

 

 

Mara Muse, Kennebunk senior attack: An All-America selection, Muse scored 45 goals this season to give her 135 for her career. Muse also had 20 assists, 24 ground balls, and caused 10 turnovers. A key contributor to the Rams’ run of three Class A state championships over the last four years, Muse plans to attend Bowdoin College.

 

 

Aine Powers, Yarmouth senior midfielder: The Varsity Maine Player of the Year, Powers scored 52 goals and had 22 assists to lead the Clippers to the Class A championship. Powers won 75 draw controls and caused 39 turnovers. For her career, she recorded 181 goals and 84 assists. Also an All-State soccer player, Powers will continue her lacrosse career at American University.

 

Heather “Peaches” Stucker, Falmouth senior midfielder: Stucker capped her strong career by earning All-America honors and leading the Navigators to the Class A championship game. One of the top two-way players in the state, Stucker had 36 goals, 48 assists, 37 ground balls, 37 draw controls, and 38 caused turnovers. Stucker will attend Trinity College.

 

 

Regan Sullivan, Yarmouth senior goalie: Described by Yarmouth Coach Dorothy Holt as a big-game player, Sullivan returned after missing much of her junior season to injury and was spectacular in net to help the Clippers win the Class A title. Also an All-State selection as a soccer goalie, Sullivan had a 60% save percentage. She plans to attend Lasell University and play soccer.

 

 

Eva Williams, Greely senior midfielder: Williams was a key contributor as Greely won a third consecutive Class B championship. She notched 48 goals and 30 assists, along with 54 draw controls, 32 ground balls, 21 caused turnovers, and a 72% shot accuracy rate. Williams plans to attend Colby College, where she’ll look to walk on to a team that reached the NCAA Division III quarterfinals this past season.

 

 

COACH OF THE YEAR

Dorothy Holt, Yarmouth: Holt coached the Clippers to their first Class A championship since girls’ lacrosse expanded to more than one class in 2006. On its way to the title, Yarmouth defeated three-time defending champion Kennebunk in the semifinals, then beat No. 1 seed and previously undefeated Falmouth, rallying from a three-goal halftime deficit.
