John Hennessy

EqualityMaine has hired a new vice president and appointed a president of its board of directors. Melissa Martin has been named vice president of the organization. Martin was previously the public policy and legal director at the Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault and has worked for Pine Tree Legal Assistance and former Maine Supreme Court Justice Ellen Gorman. John Hennessy is the new board president of both EqualityMaine and the EqualityMaine Foundation. Hennessy has a background working with AARP and the Maine Council of Aging.

Jennifer Dann

Local Wood Works has hired a project director to replace Lee Burnett, who recently stepped down. Jennifer Dann is the organization’s new project director. Dann grew up in Maine and has worked on urban and community forestry issues with New Mexico State Forestry and on environmental management with the U.S. Air Force.

Clearstead Trust has hired three new employees. Nic Carter is now chief fiduciary officer, Ken Morgan is chief operating officer and Graham Safford is a client service associate. Carter has over 10 years of experience in fiduciary services and trust administration and received his juris doctor from the University of Maine School of Law. Morgan was previously the head of public consulting group sales and strategy at Clearstead Advisors in Cleveland, Ohio. Safford received his bachelor’s degree from Bates College and has worked in investment and wealth management for over eight years.

Jason Romer

Jason Romer is the new chief experience officer at Uprise Partners. Romer has more than 20 years of experiencing in advanced technology and cybersecurity.

William Saufley

Kennebunk Savings has hired William Saufley as its executive vice president and chief risk officer. Saufley worked for the bank for five years as a senior vice president and chief risk officer, from 2007 to 2012. He received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and his juris doctor from the University of Maine School of Law.

Logan Donahue

Logan Donahue has joined Albin, Randall & Bennett as audit senior manager. Donahue received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Bentley University. She previously worked at a public accounting firm in Boston for 10 years.

PROMOTIONS

Heidi Edwards

Norway Savings Bank has promoted Heidi Edwards to deposit and cash management relationship manager. Edwards has worked for the company since 2000 and was previously a personal banker at the bank’s branch in Bridgton.

Amanda Peacock

Amanda Peacock has been promoted to vice president of member experience and engagement at Evergreen Credit Union. Peacock started with the credit union in early 2024.

Waterstone Properties Group, the developer of Rock Row in Westbrook, has promoted three people and hired another. Andrew Gendron was promoted to director of marketing, Lynda Adams is now operations and property manager and Jennifer Murphy Aubin is associate director of marketing. Abigail Worthing was hired as an events manager. Worthing most recently served as executive events manager for Thompson’s Point.

Joline Godfrey

Joline Godfrey has been appointed to the board of directors for the Herring Gut Coastal Science Center. Godfrey is a consultant and founder of a financial readiness program for families with young children. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and a master’s in social work from Boston University.
