Tilly METZ

Tilly Metz is a Luxembourg MEP for the Déi Gréng – Les Verts, part of the Greens/European Free Alliance group (Greens/EFA). She was re-elected to the European Parliament in May 2019 and is a member of the ENVI, TRAN and AGRI Committees, additionally serving as chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with the countries of Central America. On the ENVI committee, her focus is on health and health care, having represented the Greens in the discussions around the implementation of the cross-border health care directive. Moreover, she is a member of the disability intergroup in the European Parliament. Before this, she was mayor of Weiler-la-Tour in Luxembourg from 2005 to 2011 and was chairwoman of the Luxembourg Greens from 2004 to 2009. A teacher of specialized pedagogy by training, Metz served as President of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Luxembourg and Vice-President of the country’s High Disability Council (CSPH).
