QCYC
Located on the east side of the island you can take in some history at the Queen City Yacht club on Algoinquin Island. Founded in 1889, and known as Queen City of the Lake at the time, the club attracts boaters from around Lake Ontraio with events such as the club’s annual pig roast.

Wards Island Beach
Located at the start of the boardwalk, next to a small playground.Ward’s Island Beach was named after a fisherman and his family who settled on Toronto Island in 1830. Ward’s Island Beach is a part of the small residential community on the island. It is far less touristy than the Centre Island park. It is also ideal for swimming as the water is very calm and clean. This beach is a Blue Flag beach, awarded for meeting strict standards for water quality, environmental management and education, safety and services.
Disc Golf Course
Located approximately 600 yards east of the Ferry/Taxi Dock. Long, challenging world-class course with some water hazards and stunning views of the Toronto skyline. Generous gaps and tricky wind.

The Boardwalk
If you are on bike or on foot, follow the boardwalk from Ward’s Beach 3-kilometres to Centre Island or 4.5-kilometres to Hanlan’s Point before heading back to the mainland.
