Read 180 Workshop student reminder board to refer to throughout the workshop. I made posters like it to hang up in my classroom after our workshop is done and I wipe the whiteboard clean.  The solid boxes with checkmarks help with pacing and showing progression through the workshop. The dashed boxes are for checkpoints/conferences with students. I have made a concerted effort to get away from reading logs in my classroom. I know, I know. So many people use them and love them, but honestly, I just didn't. Years ago, I did get away from the "mom sign this" reading log by creating a more content based log (that I still use as in class assignments) but that just wasn't working for my students anymore.
