Whether you call it a roux or a Mornay sauce it’s most definitely the best way to make a Mac & Cheese in my opinion.

Additional Tips:

1. Make Sure to sift your flour so you don’t have any clumps.

2.) you want to use a little less flour than than your butter so you can get a nice paste consistency for your roux.

3. Use cold mix as it’s easier to manage than warm milk.

4.) You can use half & half if you want it more creamy

5. You can add more milk or half & half if you want it soupy.

6. Only seasonings you really need is salt & pepper for a basic Mac & Cheese, everything else is just extra.
