Do you find yourself putting your camera away when there aren't windows full of light spilling into a room? Low light photography may seem intimidating but actually it is fun to embrace the shadows and shoot in different light conditions. Updated: May 16, 2019. This post contains affiliate links.

Wanted to try some low key work. Shoot through umbrella strobe to the right 1/16th, snooted strobe 1/4 power to the left to light the smoke. Originally planned for the soft light to be the main, but the snooted strobe has also made some specular highlights of the candle and the holder. More by luck than judgement, this has given the whole thing some good depth and contrast.
