I made this one of a kind handmade journal by up cycling a 1964 vintage reader's digest hard book cover. The original cover is beautiful with soft colors of pink, green, cream and yellow. I added complimentary layers of fabric and lace to the cover and spine. I embellished it with buttons and a dangle. It has metal corner protectors and it measures 5.75 inches wide. 8.50 inches tall and it has a 1.75 inch spine. It is quite chunky and comes with a removable hand dyed ribbon for a closure. Inside there are two hand sewn signatures making up 128 pages. The paper used is a mix of vintage book pages, vintage flower and garden pages, vintage music pages, vintage cards and envelopes, vintage braille paper, coffee and tea dyed paper, and ledger paper.
