Cassette futurism

The 70s, 80s, and 90s were a time period filled with technology that, while now is outdated & archaic, was seen as bleeding edge back then. Huge, boxy computers, CRT screens, etc. Stuff like this brought about questions of how high-tech the future would look—thus, we get mechs.

Cassette Futurism is a genre of retrofuturism based on the 70's and 80's. The media itself does not have to be set in this time period, but rather explore the speculated alternate future of it.
