Deter fleas naturally
Fleas only spend about 5% of their life cycle on your pet. Treating the environment, where possible, can help prevent parasites from even making it onto your pet. Flea Destroyer nematodes work by releasing bacteria that kill the larvae, ending the flea life cycle without harming beneficial insects such as ladybugs, lacewings and praying mantis, as well as earthworms. They are safe for people, pets and plants. One box covers up to 2,000 square feet, and just one application can last a whole year!

The EPA did not conduct animal risk assessments in order to assure safety of Seresto collars. From the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General report released earlier this year: “The EPA’s response to reported pesticide incidents involving Seresto pet collars has not provided assurance that they can be used without posing unreasonable adverse effects to the environment, including pets.”

Fleas, Ticks & Heartworm
In a swimming experiment, fluralaner (Bravecto) and imidacloprid were detected in the hair samples of all three dogs, and fluralaner concentrations in the swimming water exceeded Dutch water quality standards. This experiment and other studies illuminates the unsettling reality of flea treatments transferring from dogs to the environment, causing alarm about their effect on other organisms and ecosystems.

💸 Flea Destroyer Beneficial Nematodes are 15% off all month using code FLEA15 at checkout! Beneficial nematodes are living organisms, naturally inhabiting soil and bark. They travel through the soil, penetrating flea larva, releasing bacteria that effectively kills the larva before it can grow up and bite your pet. Works for the immature stages of ticks too!

Researchers suspect spot-on flea products pollute water
A 2020 research paper in the Science of the Total Environment Journal found that across river sites sampled across England, the mean concentrations of fipronil (in FRONTLINE) and fipronil sulfone were 5.3 and 38.1 times their chronic toxicity limits. Amounts of Imidacloprid (in ADVANTAGE & SERESTO) exceeded the toxicity limit in 7/20 sample sites. These chemicals not only threaten aquatic life but also vital insect populations, including bees. Let's protect our pets without harming our planet.

Fleas, Ticks & Heartworm
💉 There are many variables that come into play when deciding if heartworm preventative is necessary for your pet—location, temperature, humidity. While it may not be possible in all environments to have our pets prevention be completely chemical-free, I don't use injectable heartworm prevention. Long-acting injections may seem convenient, but once given, there is NO antidote to reverse side effects.
