Lapalice Castle - The Cottage That Became A Castle
Lapalice Castle can be found just outside the village of Lapalice, Poland. In the 1980s local sculptor, Piotr Kazimierczak received a building permit for a single-family house with a studio. What he actually built was a 52-room castle, however, once authorities realised what was happening they shut down construction. Smith Mansion - The House That Killed Its Owner
Smith Mansion is a timber frame property that was built over eighteen years by Francis Lee Smith. Located near Cody, in Wyoming, what strated out as a small comfortable house, eventually became a tower that resemsbled the Eye of Sauron. Unfortuntatley, while working on the house, Francis Lee Smith fell from a roof and died, his body was discovered a couple of days after. Villa De Vecchi - The Most Haunted House In Italy
Villa de Vecchi, also known as ‘Cassa Rossa’ due to its original red color, is a 19th century home located in Cortenova, just east of Lake Como. Built in 1857, the house has had a very strange past, which has included alleged murder, Aleister Crowley, the infamous occultist staying there, and the sound of ghosts. Carleton Island Villa - The Abandoned New York Mansion
Carleton Island Villa is an abandoned mansion located on Carleton Island, in upstate New York. The house was built in 1894 for William O. Wyckoff, who had amassed his fortune from the newly invented typewriter. Unfortunately William only spent one night in the property, dying from a heart attack in the house. To locals, this property is known as 'Manvel Mansion', a 46-bedroom mansion that has never been lived in.
