No I haven't but I service them at the shop I work at, and have scene out of the 14 we have sold, we have had 5 customers complain about excessive creaking and we troubleshooted it and found it was all because the bond between the carbon and seat tube insert had failed and cracked. All 5 frames have since had been warrantied and replaced by Ibis with no questions asked, but the issue is recurring, even on newer models. here is where the crack occurs http://forums.mtbr.com/ibis/frame-crack-cosmetic-489354.html

maybe start by fixing your cracking front triangles around the seat tube insert first.

The reason the industry has settled on 3x for high strength wheels is more of a fact. Even high end overpriced wheels which could easily efford to integrate such lacing into there manufacturing and assembly line have not. So saying that this is stronger is kinda like discrediting ever single manufacturer and engineer such as the good old guys at easton, who have painstakingly put hours of there life into research and development on such product. Just sayin.

DVO's Emerald Fork - The Journey From Concept to Reality
beyond curious to see how much torsional stiffness that carbon support adds cause to be honest its very hard to visually accept that it produces much stiffness.
