Pinkbike Poll: Should Downhill Bikes Have More Than 200 Millimeters of Travel?
I agree on the spring rate vs bottoming force explanation, considering the characteristics or current forks.
But there's still a lot of room to improve on the current air springs which allow more travel without either giving up spring rate or adding excessive progression.

First Look: KOM Xeno Infinity Drive Hubs Push from the Disc Side
Even the current shimano hubs, with the steel freehub body bolted on the hub shell, have in common the fact that they put the load bearings at the extremities of the axle. No bearings needed in the middle because the hub shell and the inner portion of the freehub body are connected as one.

Review: Manitou Mattoc Pro Fork - Reversed Arched, Foward Thinking
3 chamber air springs were invented specifically to generate more support than standard 2 chambers. Sounds like it wasnt set up properly, possibly with too low pressure in the main chamber.
I don't know exactly the manitou damper but lsc and hsc circuits are always in parallel. When the oil can't flow through the hsc it flows through the lsc. If the circuits are in series as described the lsc would have zero effect.

I hope it won't start creaking too soon. I'm enjoying listening to the creaks of my fork too much

Final Randoms - Bespoked Show 2023
Weight on the pedals pushes down the bottom bracket and the lower link. This helps to compress the suspension. I wonder how it reacts to pumping on the pedals... wouldn't it be too soft?
Without weight on the pedals it's neutral. But downward pedaling force also works in the direction of compressing the suspension. At the same time it seems to have high antisquat to balance that.
