Review: How Canyon's KIS Could Change Mountain Biking, and Why It Probably Won't
Seems like a trivial issue, but is it difficult to ride with no hands on the bars? You really need free headset rotation to make balancing feel natural.

Titus Racer-X Carbon (L) - **New** 23.5 lbs

$1700 CAD
New old stock Titus Racer-X Carbon frame just built up with almost entirely new parts (see list below and picture with boxes and manuals for every part). It's never seen dirt and I've only ridden it around my driveway enough to adjust the gears - expect to have to make some adjustments to get everything working perfectly. Family, kid, and work means I haven't had time to perfect it. It weighed 23.5 lbs on a cheap fish scale with Shimano SPDs on it (Those or a new pair of DMR V8 flats can be included for extra). Would prefer to sell locally but can arrange to have a shop package it and ship on buyer's dime if you're serious. I'd consider trading for a fat bike or steel (853 or Prestige) or titanium XC bike of equivalent value. 1. Frame – 2008 or '09 Titus Racer-X Carbon (new - don't know the exact year. Frame is flawless, not a mark on it. Fox RP23 shock works flawlessly as well) 2. Fork – RockShox SID World Cup Carbon (used - looks awesome and seems to work perfectly but I haven't tried the adjustments at all. Comes with Pop-lock remote but I haven't taken the time to set it up properly. I can swap to a lower end SID and knock the price down a bit if you want) 3. Wheels – Mavic CrossRide disc (new) 4. Crank/BB – SRAM XX carbon 2x10 (used crank arms and BB, new Truvativ 36/29 rings) 5. Shifters – SRAM XO 2x10 (new) 6. Seat post – Ritchey WCS Carbon (new) 7. Handlebar – Ritchey WCS Carbon (new) 8. Stem – Ritchey WCS Carbon (new). Can swap for a silver Thomson with anodized blue face plate to match the theme if buyer prefers) 9. Grips – Jenson lock-on (new) 10. Bottle cage – Ritchey WCS Carbon (new) 11. Cables – Shimano stainless (new) 12. Tires – Kenda Klimax Lite (new) 13. Tubes – Michelin Aircomp ultralite (new) 14. Seat – Koobi Au Chrono (used but in excellent condition - super comfortable, I have Koobis on 2 other bikes and went out of my way to find one for this build) 15. Brakes – Magura Louise Carbon (new) 16. Brake rotors – 160 mm Shimano Sm-Rt54 centerlock (new) 17. Headset – RaceFace (new but with mismatched top cap) 18. Derailleurs – SRAM XO 2 x 10 (new) 19. Cassette – Sunrace Mx3 11-40T (new) 20. Chain – Shimano XT Cn-Hg95, Sil-Tec coated (new) Below is a description of the frame pulled from the net: The Titus Racer X Carbon is a lighter-than-air, full-on dual-suspension XC race frame, born from the legendary Racer X design and enhanced with a full-carbon monocoque front triangle. Starting with the award-winning geometry and Horst-link rear suspension of its aluminum forebear, the all-carbon version of the Racer X benefits from more than just a weight reduction. The inherent properties of the custom-blended high and intermediate-modulus carbon produces not just a lighter, but also a stiffer, damper frame that gains advantages over aluminum in nearly every way: faster acceleration, more precise cornering, and more secure high-speed handling. The custom-tuned Fox RP23 shock gives the Racer X Carbon 100mm of plush rear travel, allowing you to float over rocky sections and warp down fire roads with confidence, while simultaneously rocketing off the line and hammering sweeping singletrack with the adrenal snap of a hardtail. No stranger to the rigors of racing, Titus reinforces every pivot and mount-point on the carbon frame with cast aluminum inserts, and protects your valuable investment with a replaceable R.U.B. underbelly plate. The only non-carbon frame section is the hydroformed aluminum chainstay-a near-even trade in weight that repays itself in on-trail abuse. In the cross-country ring, the Racer X Carbon is a champion welterweight at the peak of its career: already holding the advantage of experience, it focused all year long on conditioning.
