The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: What Grips Pinkbike Editors Actually Use
@Code98: Like shredding up the soft tissue on the palms of your hands/fingers that takes a long time to heal where you can't bend your hands in the way you normally do, and thus the long tendons that are used to sliding back and forth across each other to give you all the amazing dexterity that fingers have seize up and start sticking to things. And getting them back to the way they used to move is a long and excruciating process.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: What Grips Pinkbike Editors Actually Use
I used to ride without gloves until a good friend who is an ER doc explained to me how poorly injuries to the palm of your hand and face of your fingers tend to heal and how f**ked your fingers will be for the rest of your life.

Pinkbike Poll: How Far Are You Willing to Drive to a Bike Park?
@ADHDMI: Awww Mt Washington is good for what it is. You have to set your expectations to a decent level and embrace the jank. There's a chairlift, there are bathrooms, and they sell beer and hotdogs! Given that the entire mountain has barely changed in 40 years that's quality :D However I will happily do a day trip over to Whistler on the ferry from Nanaimo and back. Makes for a loooong day but it's worth it.

How To Pick A Safer Helmet - According To Science
Here’s an interesting tidbit from the ASTM DH standard: “Note that F1952 helmets are heavier than road helmets and their harder foam to meet the more severe impact requirements may affect performance in lower level impacts.”

How To Pick A Safer Helmet - According To Science
Re: The full-face portion, there's something that bugs the *&^! out of me and it pains me to see Seb do it: "There's not enough data to draw any conclusions. We'll mention that, and then.... show the data and imply a conclusion anyway."

Race Analysis from the Les Gets DH World Cup 2024
The "perfect race" graphs are a pretty interesting analysis. In such a crazy race like this weekend's you'd kind of expect it to show that different people nailed different sections and made mistakes at different places, but how close AP was to that perfect combo of all the sectors show just how brilliant his run was.

Race Preview: BC Bike Race Shares Details of 2024 Route
And looks like they scored the perfect weather forecast - been cool and rainy so far into the beginning of summer, trails are all in terrific shape and they're gonna get sunshine and low 20s for the entire race. Should be incredible riding.

[UPDATED] Elite Final Results & Overall Standings from the Val di Sole DH World Cup 2024
@watchmen: or, and this may sound crazy but hear me out for a second… they could even just not talk at all for a bit. If there’s nothin to say about what’s onscreen just don’t say anything. I know, that’s crazy talk.
