Chromag Stylus M/L 27.5

$2200 CAD
This is a 2021 Chromag Stylus. Yes, they did one run of a raw frame and it looks awesome. The rust is surface and should be thought of as a patina. I rust treated the inside of the frame just for my peace of mind but Chromag states that a little patina is no problem. This rig is built to be burly to handle riding the Shore and take abuse without needing maintenance. If you can hold onto it then it will hold the line. - 27.5 wheels, DT Swiss FR 541 rear rim (with Cushcore) and Stans Flow MK3 from rim laced to Onyx hubs, tyres are DD DHR2 rear and DD Assegai front - 1*12 Shimano Deore cassette with XT shifter and XTR chain, Raceface Turbine cranks 175mm - Oneup 210mm dropper - TRP Quad brakes on 203 Shimano icetech F/R rotors - Rockshox Lyric ULTIMATE RCT3 with 170 travel I have flat pedals which I will throw on. OBO on price, I am in Squamish.

First Ride: Fox Releases New Grip X & Grip X2 Dampers
@chrod: This was 100% worth a watch. Laughing so hard and imagining the tricked out goobers on 15k bikes.

@vinay: True, very little side wall support. I've torn through tires (EXO+) and the side wall of a Tannus. They do help a little with pinch flats but ultimately its the ease of installation that is a huge selling point. If anyone is in a place with cacti I wonder if the Tannus makes sense?

Photo Story: The Free Radicals Revive Iconic Squamish Trail
It fills my heart with joy to see people dig. No dig no ride because the sport does not exist without digging. If you want a free ticket to ride then go skiing and wait for the snow to fall but if you ride bikes you better dig. Looks like solid work too on a trail I love. Donate, dig, delight in bikes. Much love Squamish crew!

Slack Randoms: Artistic Cycling World Champs, Rideable Human Bike Sculptures & More
Yeah, good on Fanatik but what information other than number of lab tested cycles does it give us? Number of cycles under consistent load = numbers of cycles under consistent load. Try to extrapolate beyond that and you'll run into issues and probably unfulfilled expectations. Was a comparison to other shocks under the same conditions tested? Real world implications involves a lot of contaminants and possible egress into the shock. Cycling a shock in real world has different velocities, how would this change the outcome? What effect(s) would temperature differences in the shocks environment produce? So many other questions. In the end this type of testing is thinly veiled marketing. Cool marketing, I like to see the tests but with added rigour and controls. Save your hands, have a piston perform the labour, have comparison studies add a simulated trail environments for the test rig. If you want bonus points introduce different vectors and cross loading the shock. Ooooor we all go ride our bikes and find out how the 1000 dollar plus shock does. Cool Sram commercial though.

Interview: World Cup Brake Tech with TRP
@zede: I fall victim to the same hubris as Icarus. Maybe it could be better? For instance they could move the bleed port rear facing like the new gen of shimano brakes or add a shimano branles bleeding edge port. Then again, maybe they change it and I loss the availability of my favourite brakes.

@shredddr: Run Saints on all my bikes. Crisp and reliable. They have also been out with a great track, literally world cup track, record for the better part of a decade.
