My heart lies with mountain biking. But occasionally the wanderlust sets in and I need to just get on my bike and ride. For months at a time. Luckily, I work for TDA Global Cycling. We operate long distance cross-continent bike expeditions all around the world.

Sep 18, 2023Apollo Arctec R - Sram Red - 6.9kg / 15.2lbs - size M
$2000 CADSelling an Apollo Arctec R carbon fiber road bike. Labelled as a size M bit fits me well at 6ft tall. I would say it fits like a 55 or 56. Geometry chart is included in the photos.
This bike was built up by the previous owner just a couple of years ago from a new old stock 2013 frame. Since being built, it has barely been ridden - just a handful of rides each by the previous owner, and then by me.
This bike is very light - only 6.9kg / 15.2lbs. It rides very well but I am just not that into road riding, so I am letting it go. Probably not the bike for you if you're looking for a Cervelo, Trek, or Specialized, but if you don't care about the latest tech and just want a fast, good looking, super light bike at a decent price, please read on.
You may not have heard of Apollo, but it is a well known brand in Australia. For a few years only, they ventured into high end road bikes and produced the Arctec R, which received rave reviews:
"The Arctec R is a real head turner and a true performer on all fronts" - Bicycling Australia
"A comfortable, well balanced bike aimed at the racer, but with enough comfort for all day-riding" - BikeRadar
Currently built as follows:
-Sram Red (10 speed): front and rear derailleurs, shifters, carbon crank, brakes
-Shimano Ultegra cassette and chain (much more durable and better shifting than Sram)
-Easton EA90 RT wheels - set up tubeless
-Continental GP 5000 tubeless tires
-Carbon seatpost (Pro/Shimano) and handlebar (Eclypse S9)
Parts listed here have been replaced with brand new items: cassette, chain, chainrings, front derailleur, cables & housing, brake pads, handlebar tape. Tires have been ridden less than 5 times since new.
Overall the bike is in excellent condition, with only minor signs of use on the frame. The crankset looks a bit beat up, but has brand new chainrings. The brakes are also a bit worn looking, but the pads are brand new.
Not included: pedals, cages, tool kit, pump (but let me know if you want any of these).
Located near Bloor and Christie.

Cool, looks like POC still doesn't make adjustable chin straps on their helmets - totally useless, and frankly unsafe.
