Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
@nerdymtbiker: to be clear they are successful in DH racing and the bikes there have to last one lap. A simple Google search for "Commencal crack" should give any prospective buyer plenty to chew on. I'm glad you didn't get a lemon but you're not going to convince me their quality control couldn't use some improvement.

Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
Nicolai spec the Saturn 14 at 2.95kg in size M without shock so 3.2kg with a DPS is well within the realm of possibility for a bomber alloy frame. It's just that Commencal frames are poor quality. As is their customer service.

Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
@nerdymtbiker: apples to oranges. Frame quality and customer service can make for a very different ownership experience. Commencal's reputation in both regards leaves a lot to be desired.

SRAM Releases S-1000 Budget Transmission Drivetrain
So long as they keep manufacturing mechanical X01 IDGAF. After that I'll run stuff from whoever else still offers quality bicycle parts that don't require a battery.

OneUp Announces New Hubs
@G-Sport: Hadley use 20mm and I believe Hopes are 17mm so you've got options.
It's odd how the little details matter. DT don't have a rep for breaking axles. I9 do and I broke two myself, but their new design that basically just added a washer has been fine. I've not had problems with bearings though I know many do. Might have to do with QC on the hub shell, or just some frames flex more than others. But anyway experiences vary widely on 15mm hub axles.
