Madrone Launches Mail-In Derailleur Rebuild Service
Really, all I want to repair sram mechanical derailleurs is the ability to buy new derailleur springs. Those always wear out and stop pulling like they should and a fresh one would bring an older derailleur back to life.

Check Out: the Lightest Bashguard, Smallest Pump, Tiniest Tire Plug, & More
@dariodigiulio: You should go all in and do a full hot wax. Best thing I ever did, works great in all conditions and lasts forever.

Review: Privateer 141 - The Adjustable Wrench of Trail Bikes
@xciscool: That is fair enough, but I would also say that this isn't what I would call a mass market bike. It's a pretty niche product and there is nothing wrong with that, just your average rider isn't going to be looking at buying a Privateer. I was defending the tires spec on the majority of bikes that are out there rather than criticizing the spec on this one. We tend to take riders off of heavier, more aggressive tires at the shop I'm a mechanic for and put them on more supple, faster rolling treads and casings and they tend to really like it. Having something that grips well, is comfortable, and rolls fast enhances their ride experience a lot, and we very rarely have people who come back to us having destroyed a tire.

Review: Privateer 141 - The Adjustable Wrench of Trail Bikes
This weight is bad for a 160-170 bike imo haha. My current bike (Norco Sight Aluminum, the last generation) weighs 37 lbs and I'm dying for it to be lighter. 34-35 lbs for a 160-170mm travel bike is perfect, and it's possible to do even with an Aluminum frame.

Review: Privateer 141 - The Adjustable Wrench of Trail Bikes
Yeah it doesn't make any sense. Even without tube in tube internal routing is really easy to work with if you have a set of picks.

Review: Privateer 141 - The Adjustable Wrench of Trail Bikes
@JonnyNorthmore: While they might not be as rad as you, the vast majority of riders benefit from a more supple tire casing, both for grip and comfort, and the lower rotational weight makes a bike handle better in tight sections and at lower speeds. It makes sense to spec a mass market bike with tires that make sense for the masses.
