First Ride: Specialized Launches New Status 140 and DH 170
@sfarnum: Thank you. I'm not trying to hide that I work for the Big S and that's apparent from my PB account. With that, I've been fortunate enough to be in the cycling industry for over a decade and truly appreciate the variety of offerings available from most manufacturers today. That being said, as an employee, I can ride anything in our line up and still choose the Status as my bike of choice. It's a solid starting platform for any rider and has the potential to be upgraded to be as good, if not better, than most of the other aluminum trail bikes on the market. I'm not here pushing an S-works Stumpy or Enduro lol

First Ride: Specialized Launches New Status 140 and DH 170
To all interested in getting an Aluminum frame rigg that pedals great and decends even better, this might be for you. Rode a Status V1 160 for the last three years. It was a fun bike, but the pedaling efficiency was lacking. Been on the Status V2 170 for a month now and I can confindently say its a significantly better bike. The revised seat post angle and updated geometry has resulted in one of the most well rounded platforms in the market. The bike comes with everything you need for a good time and can be easily upgraded to be a high performance ride. Any questions?
