Pinkbike Poll: How Far Are You Willing to Drive to a Bike Park?
@deli-hustler: I absolutely love Dirt Farm as it is very confidence-inspiring, but you are correct to say it is very jump focused. That said, Shaun does such a good job building them you tend to be able to hit stuff you wouldn't normally feel you could. I've heard "downhill pumptrack" used to describe a lot of the trails there.
If it is red tech you are after, check out some of the cracking unofficial spots in the valleys e.g. Smilog, Barry Sidings etc. Perhaps give Merthyr Vale a miss as it is very steep.

Pinkbike Poll: How Far Are You Willing to Drive to a Bike Park?
@deli-hustler: I'm English, living in Brecon. It's stupid but I still haven't ridden Dyfi, partly for the reasons you've said, but also because there are so many good riding spots closer in the Valleys, plus BPW, Dirt Farm and Hafod Trails are relatively close.

@deli-hustler: Out of interest, where abouts are you?
