@nicoenduro: What? LOL Id rather ruin a chainring once every 12 months than 3 or more frames. When landing off drops etc into pure filth tech you can randomly hit the chainring or a bashguard. 'shit quality frames' I've owned some premium Frames from santa cruz, yeti etc all damaged by bash guard incidents, Yeti Told me do not run a Bash guard in future as warranty will be void. Many brands have removed Tabs for this reason... destroyed alot of stumpy evo frames When i picked up my Commencal meta v5 i asked about bashguard's and they said my warranty would be void if i used one. The guy in the shop said, $60 chainring vs $3000 frame, Will not be covered by warranty I've damaged some frames from gentle roll over hits to a bash guard, We Were running 3d printed ones for awhile and they were waaaay better. You can dream up whatever you like but when riding jank that has drops etc that land into that jank.... theres no avoiding it. Hey all good if you ride blue's and soft blacks but I mostly ride harder stuff.

Why do People insist on using Bash guards? I've ruined Alloy & carbon frames from them, 2 brands tried to deny warranty because of the bash guard use. Ive always thought of these as an XC item, just like cushcore has finaly ended up. I've damaged more rims using cushcore than without.... do enduro/dh riders just wake up each day and say "yep, im a sheep"

you dont want a strong guard...................... if people insist they must use them..(why??) then nylon is the best Ruined far to many frames from bash guards & they are the same price as a chainring here... easier to replace a chainring. This is kinda like the cushcore arguement... ment for DH but WAAAY better for XC.

I've damaged so many frames from bash guards untill i just stopped using them, Then bent the odd chainring but at about 1/10 of the times of frames. please everyone stop using these stupid things.

DH Field Test: Giant Glory - Versatile, or Conflicted?
"Shimano-sponsored athletes using the cheaper steel rotor" All the top ones like PFR, SCS etc use rt86 or XTR freeza rotors - theres some on galfer rotors aswell The odd person is running 220 and often they are not shimano sponsored. - the stamped 220 shimano is pure rubbish, it vibrates & flexs so bad.
