With a successful first week of operations, Sun Peaks is ready for you and your two wheeler! With 70km of trails and 255 features to experience you'll be busy for days!
Come see what the trail crew has been up too.Whether you're looking for technical single track, flowing machine made trails, steep downhill courses, or cruising green runs, Sun Peaks has close to 40 trails that offer diversity for every level of rider.
Smooth Smoothie makes for a great warm up run for beginners. This wide and gentle trail has switchbacks all the way down the mountain. Barn Burner is an intermediate trail with a mixture of terrain and features with shale, machine made berms, single track, small drops, and a few steep sections. Kaboom is a black run not for the faint of heart. This technical single track is full of rock faces, drops, and steep loose shale sections.
Trail Crew Manager Kenton Matthews has been working with his team to ensure the trails are dialed in. Insanity One has been buffed from top to bottom as the crew filled in the ruts and beefed up the berms to make the trail even faster. The Trail Crew has also put a lot of work into Sugar, one of our oldest trails. Look for a 35' long skinny with a 4' drop at the end. This new feature is located in the area that was logged last year. On Sweet One, all of the bridges have been realigned and the dead fall was all removed.
To ensure you spend more time on your bike and less time at the base area,
Lift Operations will be increasing bike carrier capacity by 25% by adding a fourth carrier. Also watch out for improved signage throughout the Bike Park. The Trail Map has also been completely redesigned to provide a more accurate representation of the trail system.
