Come 1 come all, Drumheller Alberta recently opened their newest addition to their lift access bike parks, and prices are cheap. So come in, bring the kids, and the pets, and come enjoy the scenery.
hope its not something just for your x country bike. someone go and make a thread about this and then all can decide whether or not its worth it. thanks.
The place is under construction hence it is advertised as such. I do reccomend for everyone to come over and if they like it for a day, stay for three, if they like it for three decide further. We will credit a $50 three day pass towards a season pass at the ed of the third day if one desires to do so. That is about all we will guarantee.
Construction of Lift Accessed Mountain Biking at Drumheller is meant to be a 3-5 year project. There are vast lands for it and it will take time to get there. We do appreciate everyones understanding in this process.
There are a couple of runs on the front side good for riding and more are being constructed as we speak. Any volunteer help is more then welcome.
As for riding in the rest of the Badlands, there is no lift access and you might be tresspassing on a private lands.
I rode the Drumheller ski hill last Sunday for the first time. It was a blast!!! Some good, fast, straightforward downhill with lots of options to make it more challenging, and when I ventured off into the coulees, I got into terrain so steep I had to carry my bike in some spots. Granted, I'm not a hugely experienced rider, but the potential I see for technical stuff blows my mind! Try it out now, while it is still relatively unknown!!!
We need help building our PARK in Drum. If anyone out there could help us out with the construction of DIRT JUMPS, WALL RIDES, HIPS or what ever else you know how to build. Please come down and start BUILDING YOUR MASTER PIECE. BIG,small, whatever gets your gears rooll'n!
I heard that this place is run by Amerl Zinko, the same guy that has failed to open fortress (but still took money for season passes). Not that this means the place will be bad, but I wouldn't buy a pass until you know for sure what your going to get.
hahaha... Mogi is a dino-dude on the picture and he is indeed 14 years old as the Ski Hill was borne in 1993. Me on the other hand, well, you got it, I am a bit older.
You don't need a pass to ride the best of the valley. Anything to the east of the ski hill is awesome technical riding. Try it before the City mows down the badlands for more industrial buildings.
snowtires is indeed correct, Be carefull and DON'T buy a season pass, I'll be in Drumheller this weekend, I'll make a thread on monday about Everything ( if anything ) i see.
