I find it strange that when there's above average coverage on new rides using new-ish wheel sizes that people assume that rides like this Endorphin get no coverage when in reality they always do... I mean that's always how it's been. Newer/different stuff gets more coverage, especially when they rip. It's like complaining that since there's recently been more articles about 1x11 setups, specifically the XX1, that no other drivetrains get promoted... kinda silly.
But you're right on about the common perception that to do DH, you need a DH-specific rig. There's a ton of people I know that buy 40lbs. dual crowns and only ride perfectly smooth and machine groomed bike park runs because they think you need 10" of travel to hit anything that's not XC. I've been using 6" AM rigs for years now and they've handled basically everything I've tossed at em.
With the speed spot on you prolly would get a slide anyway when it is loose.
The boy just wants to show how the bike rips and ads a bit of 'expression' to his ride - take it like that: dont ride that loud all the time else the trails get deaf but with good measure its part of the deal.
I mean if you ride that slow that you would never break traction and you lock the rear wheel just for fun it's silly but if you ride on the edge and traction breaks then it is legit.
@Daddybear: You should know about the problems coming from chamonix...
if it rips your tires go by a new one... or don't use your brake to much to so you don't have to buy new brakes.......
I ve been doin trails for years in my valley and if there is brake bumps or stuff like that use a shovel and go working on your trails......
I ve been also makin a new trach on the "regular resort" where i shape and take care of the stuff.... there kid from 4 years old to 50 years that come , enjoy and also destroy the trails so i have to take out the shovel and the rake every 2 days to get it clean.......
Ask to the personn who's in charge of the trails to simply do their job!!!!!! (been to cran montana yesterday trails for bike are shit now spend the day on riping the ski slopes all day)
I'm always left thinking after an xc/all mountain bike ad..... "looks nice but can it jump..?" ..not in this case. Well done
