Pleasure Bay is another pleasant Boston beach with white sand and scenic walking trails. It’s also close to some renowned restaurants, as well as the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum and the Franklin Park Zoo.

The Franklin Park Zoo, which spans 72 acres, is a fun family outing. Some of the highlights are an African Tropical Forest, which features gorillas, anteaters, and pygmy hippos; Kalahari Kingdom, which is the home of two African lion brothers; and Butterfly Landing, where you can observe more than 1,000 butterflies in free flight.

The Charles River flows through the city and it can either be a sea of tranquility or a terrific avenue for athletic endeavors.
