Netflix is always adding new content to pull in subscribers. But to make room for the fresh stuff, some of the movies and TV shows you've always wanted to watch—and have had on your to-watch list for months—have to be ditched from the service.

That's because Netflix doesn't own all the content it streams. The contracts it has with networks, production companies, and movie studios mean much of that externally-made programming comes and goes all the time. So each month, we keep you up to date with a list of what's leaving the service. We'll highlight our top choices for what you should view in July before they're gone, and below that, we'll share the full list.

Abducted in Plain Sight (July 14)

How do you get kidnapped by the same person twice? Skye Borgman's documentary Abducted in Plain Sight retells the bizarre case of Jan Broberg, an Idaho teenager who was abducted at 12 and again at 14 by her neighbor Robert Berchtold. He worked his way into the family's confidence through the Mormon church and things just got weirder from there. True crime fans will dig this one, so catch it before it's gone.

Big Eyes (July 23)

Another horror franchise is leaving the streamer this month, as the first five Nightmare on Elm Street flicks and the remake are gone on June 30. While they vary widely in quality, there's no denying that the first one remains terrifying to this day, the third is goofy fun, and there's great kills to be found throughout. Have a summer Freddy marathon before they leave the service.

The Matrix Trilogy (July 31)

It's hard to think about a cultural property that had the impact of The Matrix, as the Wachowski siblings took a look forward at the constantly connected world we now live in and dared to imagine a way out. No matter what you think about the sequels, the trilogy is still a thought-provoking piece of work with action set pieces that still look impressive today. All three of the original movies log off from Netflix at the end of July
