Cannon became a dad for the first time with then-wife Mariah Carey, to whom he was married from 2008 to 2016. Since the couple split, Cannon has called Carey one of his "best friends," for whom he has "so much respect."

Brittany Bell, a model and former pageant titleholder, is the mom of Golden and Powerful, and Cannon confirmed that Bell is expecting their third baby together.

Nick Cannon's Family: What the Star Has Said About His Growing Brood

In May, Cannon appeared on the It's Tricky with Raquel Harper podcast, noting that he's a fan of family and fatherhood, but a second marriage isn't in the cards. "I love my family, and I love all of my children and every woman that's given me the blessing to experience that, but marriage and all that goes into that, it's a lot," shared the entertainer. "I mean, everybody who's married knows that it is. You're literally entering a partnership that says, 'We're two become one.' I'm not built for that."

He addressed his open relationships, sharing that he doesn't subscribe to "the traditional sense of monogamy."

"I let [the women I have children with] know from the gate [about my views towards marriage]. It's not out of disrespect, it's more respect," he explained. "I'm going to come to you as honest as I possibly can. This is who I am, this is what I struggle with, this is where I feel like I excel. If we can coexist, you're responsible for your happiness. If I can add to it, I'm here. If I don't add to it, I shouldn't be here."

Looking toward the future, Cannon has at least flirted with the idea of calling his family complete. Speaking to E! News' Daily Pop in May, Cannon shared, "I already went and got my vasectomy consultation. I ain't looking to populate the Earth completely, but I'm definitely looking forward to taking care and loving all the children that I currently have."
