UPDATED:

The Magic’s Summer League roster will feature the franchise’s lottery picks from a year ago — Anthony Black and Jett Howard — and this year’s No. 18 pick Tristan da Silva.

The trio will be joined by a mixture of experienced players and rookies aiming to make a name for themselves in Las Vegas.

The group will be coached by Orlando assistant Lionel Chalmers.

Three players on the squad have at least four years of NBA experience.

That includes 2019 No. 6 overall pick Jarrett Culver, a 6-6 guard-forward who most recently spent the season with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the G League. Culver’s four seasons as a pro have been split between three NBA teams: two with Minnesota, one with Memphis and one with Atlanta.

Théo Maledon, a 2020 second-round pick, played in 13 games for the Hornets and 4 for the Suns this past season. The 6-4 guard began his career with the Thunder where he averaged 8.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists during 23.2 minutes in 116 games from 2020-22.

Charlie Brown Jr. earned a two-way deal with the Knicks after spending the first three years of his career between Atlanta, Oklahoma City, Dallas and Philadelphia. The 6-6 guard averaged 17.7 points and 6.7 rebounds during 33.3 minutes in 17 games for the Westchester Knicks and saw limited action with New York in 8 NBA games.

Where Magic and rest of East stand with free agency slowing down

Intriguing rookie prospects include 6-4 guard Ta’Lon Cooper — who shot 45.9% from 3-point range on 3.6 attempts as a graduate transfer at South Carolina this season — and Ed Croswell, a 6-8 forward who averaged 13.3 points and 7.5 rebounds at Providence in 2022-23 before spending the last year in Turkey playing for pro team Fenerbahce.

There are two 7-footers on the Summer League squad including Jay Huff, the 2022-23 G League Defensive Player of the Year. The other is Charles Bediako, who spent part of the season with the Austin Spurs in the G League.

Huff, 7-1, served on a two-way contract for the Nuggets last season and has played in 31 total NBA games, including 20 in Denver.

After two years in the SEC at Alabama, Bediako earned a two-way contract with San Antonio but was cut in December after he suffered a torn left MCL, which forced him to miss 6-8 weeks.

Orlando’s Summer League roster also includes three players who spent part of last season with the franchise’s G League affiliate in Osceola: Myron Gardner, Jaycee Hillsman and Tre Scott.

Led by Chalmers, the coaching staff will include assistants Ameer Bahhur, Tae Carter, Davonte Fitzgerald, Corey Hawkins, Sean O’Brien.
