UPDATED:

An armed home invasion occurred early Thursday in an apartment complex near the Millenia Mall. At roughly the same time, authorities received a call about a hit-and-run in a nearby parking garage.

Now the Orlando Police Department is looking for suspects from both incidents and trying to determine if there is a link.

Just before 2 a.m., OPD responded to a call in reference to an armed robbery at an apartment at the Millenia Apartment complex, according to OPD’s Lt. Charles Crosby. Officers learned that four or five suspects forced their entry through the door and removed property from inside.

A woman was home at the time of the invasion, but was on her porch and couldn’t identify the suspects, Crosby said.

The woman was not injured.

Shortly after, OPD received reports of a hit-and-run incident in a nearby garage. The suspect vehicle was a black sedan with right front damage, Crosby said.

No other information regarding the incident was available.

OPD is on scene working to determine if the two incidents are linked and who the suspects might be.

OPD was not immediately available to answer questions on the status of the victim from the hit-and-run incident.

This is a developing story, check back here for more updates.
