A man in his 50s was shot and killed Wednesday night in a west Orlando neighborhood, and now deputies are searching for answers.
At around 9:27 p.m., Orange County deputies responded to a call reporting a shooting on the 3100 block of west Central Avenue near the Lake Mann Estates neighborhood, according to OCSO.
Deputies arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, OCSO said.
Officials identified him Thursday afternoon as 51-year-old Corey Karim Salaam.
