I just sent the following letter to my two U.S. senators and my U.S. representative. To lovers of our country and democracy, I encourage you to do the same. Please encourage President Joe Biden to open up the Democratic convention and step down as the presumptive Democratic nominee. Regardless of truth and reality, perception is all that matters in the election.
In the presidential debate, Biden did nothing to dispel the notion that he is too old for the job and did nothing to sway undecided independent, young or minority voters, (“A halting Biden tries to confront Trump at debate but sparks Democratic anxiety about his candidacy,” June 27).
