Clackamas High’s Jazzy Davidson wins a gold medal with Team USA U18 squad

Jazzy Davidson won a gold medal.

The Clackamas High School star was part of Team USA’s U18 squad that won the gold medal at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup in Brazil. Team USA defeated Canada 81-69 to win the championship on Sunday.

Team USA dominated the tournament, going 6-0 in the tournament and winning their game by an average margin of 68 points. Team USA has won 11 consecutive gold medals (12 overall) dating back to 2000. The American women are now 71-2 overall in FIBA WU18 competition.

Davidson, who’ll be a senior in the fall, had another strong all-around performance. She had nine points on 4-of-8 shooting and she was tied for the team-high with four assists. Davidson also had two rebounds, a steal and a block.

Davidson produced arguably her best all-around performance in the tournament during Team USA’s win over Argentina in the semifinals on Saturday. She scored 10 points, grabbed five rebounds - four offensive - tied a team-high with five assists and had a game-high seven steals in 22 minutes.
