The Oregon Ducks’ powerful protector on the edge is receiving preseason All-American recognition.

Ducks offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius was named a second team preseason All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation on Monday, the lone Oregon player to appear on the list.

Cornelius, a senior, transferred to Oregon by way of Rhode Island following the 2022 season. As a junior for the Ducks in 2023, Cornelius started all 14 games at right tackle and was an all-Pac-12 honorable mention. The Ducks’ offensive line led the nation with just five sacks allowed, and Cornelius gave up zero with just 11 total pressures in 512 pass-blocking opportunities.
