Severe storms cause $7.4 million in damages, more than $100,600 property tax reduction

Oklahoma County Assessor personnel have calculated the total storm damage from severe weather on June 25.

In three locations across Oklahoma County, there was $7.4 million in damage.

The Assessor's office has the ability to reduce property values to save owners money on their taxes after severe storms, fires, or other natural disasters.

As a result of June 25's storms, there is an estimated $100,600 reduction in property taxes.
