John Cena announced that he will be retiring from the WWE in 2025.

Cena unveiled the news Saturday at the Money in the Bank match in Toronto.

Tonight I officially announce my retirement from the WWE," Cena said as surprised fans in the crowd voiced their opposition.

Cena went on to talk about his illustrious two-decade wrestling career and confirmed the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania in 2025 will be his last.

He also spoke about Netflix acquiring the rights to "Raw," the WWE's flagship weekly program.

Raw makes history next year when it moves to Netflix," he said. "I've never been a part of Raw on Netflix. That is history, that is a first, and I will be there."

Cena first joined the WWE in 2001.
