With the biggest names in tennis heading to Wimbledon, let's take a peek at some of the wives and girlfriends who will be cheering their partners on from the stands
It’s that time of year again where some of the world’s best tennis head to SW19 to embark on Wimbledon. But while the world-famous tennis tournament may attract high-profile spectators including celebrities and royals, also watching from the stands are the wives and girlfriends of those taking to the courts.
With Wimbledon set to come to an end on Sunday, 14 July, the wives and girlfriends will be out in full force until then as they cheer on their partners from the sidelines. From a former model turned charity director to a social media sensation, let’s take a look at some of the WAGs of this year’s tournament…
Andy Murray and Kim Murray
One of the most popular and well known tennis couples, Kim Murray has been spotted court side supporting Andy throughout his long tennis career after meeting at a party in South Africa in 2005. Having now hung up his racket after revealing he is out of this year's competition and calling it a day on his favourite sport, he'll always have Kim by his side. The couple married in April, 2015, and have four children - Sophia, 8, Edie, 6, Teddie, 4 and Lola, 3.

Model Sophia Tomalla is currently in a relationship with Alexander Zverev. With 1.4 million followers on Instagram, 34 year old Sophia often gives fans a glimpse inside her lavish lifestyle and from her work as a model and presenter. With Alexander recently celebrating his 27th birthday, Sophia has previously addressed the seven-and-a-half year age gap. “I don’t think anything of it. It doesn’t really matter to me and it was clear to me from the start that people are suspicious. Even if it had only lasted a month, it wouldn’t have mattered to me,” she told RTL.

British Wimbledon tennis hopeful Katie has been with her Australian tennis star boyfriend Alex since 2021, with the pair confirming their romance on International Women's Day of that year.
The pair have been spotted supporting one another from court side at this year's Wimbledon and despite Katie's dreams shattered for this competition, Alex is still going strong.

Having met her husband Novak Djokovic during their time at high school, Jelena has spent years cheering him on. The pair dated for eight years before getting engaged in 2013 and tying the knot one year later. Mum-of-two Jelena has modelled in the past though currently works as the co-founder and director at the couple’s charity, the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which aims to enable every child in Serbia to attend early years programs.

The girlfriend of Taylor Fritz, Morgan Riddle is a TikTok and Instagram star. On Instagram, the influencer has almost 300,000 followers while on TikTok she has over 490,000 followers and has amassed almost 17 million likes. Over on TikTok, Morgan regularly gives updates regarding her tennis-related adventures and recently filmed a get ready with me video as she attended Wimbledon day one. Speaking to People magazine, Morgan revealed that she’d met her beau on a dating app during Covid. “We went to his place and I made him watch Midsommar with me, the really messed up horror movie. Why I chose that as my first introduction to a guy, I don't really know. I think I traumatised him a little bit,” she explained.
