As lighter nights and sunnier days are around the corner, so is Glastonbury 2024. The music festival is set to return for its 54th year from Wednesday June 26 to Sunday June 30, and is welcoming a string of music icons to the Worthy Farm grounds in Somerset.
This year, Glastonbury is also making history as it marks the first time ever that female musicians have taken two out of the three headline slots. The three headliners for this year are Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA, with it being a Pyramid stage debut for both Dua, who performed at The Brits last month, and SZA.
While the coveted 'legends slot', which takes place on the Sunday, has also been snapped up by a female too, and none other than the Queen Of Country Pop, Shania Twain.

The line-up is filled up with female acts this year, after the festival has previously faced backlash for having male-dominated line-ups, with musicians such as Little Simz, Avril Lavigne, Jessie Ware, Janelle Monae, Cyndi Lauper, PJ Harvey and Camila Cabello all on the bill too.
Other acts set to perform include Disclosure, Idles, Paloma Faith, Anne-Marie, LCD Soundsystem, Michael Kiwanuka, The National, Burna Boy, Bloc Party, Jungle and Keane.
This year will be the fifth that Coldplay have headlined the festival, becoming the first act to do so after successful headline performances in 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2016.

Something that lived only in my wildest dreams and highest manifestations !!! I am so excited to see you all in my favourite place on earth and make it a night to remember!! Thank you ~ GLASTO 4EVER".

Tickets for the festival, which hosts over 3,000 acts and around 200,000 guests, went on sale in November, but sold out in under an hour - meaning thousands of hopeful attendees were left disappointed.
Last year, acts such as Arctic Monkeys, Guns N' Roses and Elton John took to the stage, with Elton playing his last ever UK gig to close off the festival, saying goodbye in style.
