Love Island contestant Uma Jammeh has dramatically quit the ITV2 show in Tuesday night's show (July 9) after her partner Wil Anderson was also dumped in a surprise twist.

New bombshell arrival Reuben Collins choose to couple up with 23 year old Uma - but that choice that ultimately meant that Wil was left single and therefore was dumped from the villa. However, with Uma previously being in a couple with Wil, who strayed during Casa Amor, she also chose to follow her partner and say goodbye to her time on the show.

When fellow Islander Sean received a shock text asking everyone to gather round the fire pit immediately, Josh and Reuben were asked to pick a girl to couple up with. Following his decision, another text arrived and announced that because Wil was now single he would be dumped from the island. Uma then announced: "Nope, I'm gonna leave."

Uma continued: "I'm leaving guys. I'm not being funny, I'm going. I don't want to stay without him [Wil], what would I be doing here now?".

Wil and Uma then headed outside for one last look at the villa, and Wil reassured her that he'd "be gone" if roles were reversed.

Uma said: "We're going to continue on the outside," and Wil replied that the distance between where the live "wouldn't be an issue."

Earlier in the episode though, Uma was fuming from Wil's Casa Amor shenanigans, which were laid bare during Movie Night. Discovering Wil's snuggly moments with bombshell Lucy left Uma gutted, and the gory details of his escapades were splashed across the screen for all to see on Movie Night.

However, when Uma was asked what's in store for the couple after leaving the villa, she said: We can’t wait to just do normal things on the outside, stay inside and have a takeaway and go on cute dates.

"Wil wants to take me to Whitley Bay to see where he’s from, but we’ve also discussed him possibly moving to London so I’m looking forward to the future with him. The only way is up from here."

While for Wil, the bar seems to be sitting much higher as he announced he, "left with a potential wife".
