Robert Massopust OBITUARY

Robert Massopust was born in Santa Barbara in 1970, and passed away on May 21, 2024 in Los Angeles. His life’s journey was nothing short of extraordinary, living bi-coastally through childhood in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Los Angeles, and finally Santa Ana, where he is survived by his beloved wife, Kristy, his mother, Sandy, father, Jim, sister Kim, nephews Johnny, Daniel, Luke, and nieces, Lexie, Nicole, and Tiffany. When he graduated from Hesser College in New Hampshire in 1991, his ingenuity and spirit already shined brightly. His pursuits spanned from internet kiosk, to Juice Bar, and an online gluten-free business, Gluten Solutions. He was a creative Century 21 Hollywood agent (and eventually a broker) who bridged chasms between opposing sides with creative, considerate deal-structuring. Rob had a gift for connecting with people from all walks of life; whether setting up a fax machine for Buzz Aldrin, sharing breakfast with Tina Turner, insulting Tommy Lasorda, rubbing shoulders with Huey Lewis and the Beach Boys, or having Keanu Reeves literally fall in his lap. His magnetic personality left an impression. We celebrate the extraordinary life he lived; his legacy of innovation, adventure, and boundless curiosity. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of light guiding us through life’s journey.
